Meeting with KK about next steps for science. Talked through OFSTED science criteria and prospects questions.
I will meet with KK before half term to give a best fit level for Science in our school. I will also meet with link governor to share this.

Day out of class for science
Met with MA to discuss science in KS1. Discussed how they used to assess and how they do so now. Looked at discovery Dog and how 'skills' or 'knowledge' are stipulated in their WILF.

Started to go through AF4 examples given into portfolio and evidence on the tracking system. Day was curtailed at 11 am due to snow causing school to close.

Completed the next middle management session on managing difficult situations. We also completed a gap task on accountability.

Science Memo week beginning 8/1/13

One memo gave further details of PPA requests and how to submit work to science portfolio.

One memo gave ideas from Primary Science of useful fun starters and plenaries to consolidate knowledge and iron-out misconceptions.

December 2012

Planned and performed staff pantomime with LT.

Oversaw assessments in core subjects in year three and moderated outcomes. Completed APP and tracking systems with KW. Discussed interventions, pupil progress and targets for Spring term.

Used data for Yr 3 and 4 and 5 to calculate and present attainment and average points score for KS2 science.

Set next steps in Science based upon these outcomes.

Copied fun scientific starters and games to boost core knowledge for Y1 - 6.

Researched and prepared activities for after school science club.

Need to meet with KK to discuss club, those who attend, use of science portfolio and means of assessing KS1.
